The Generation 4 programme uses new technologies to assist in the creation of a more interactive model for our Problem-Based Learning (PBL) curriculum in medicine.
At the core of the programme is the replacement of the paper-based, linear patient cases, with interactive virtual patients, which allows students to make realistic patient management decisions and explore the consequences of their management.
The overall intention of the G4 project is to create a more adaptive, engaging, competency-based style of learning which more closely matches the role of the practitioner.
