Virtual patients are a core part of the G4 programme. These resources allow the student to develop their clinical decision-making skills. Not only are they encouraged to make decisions, but they will examine the consequences of those decisions without harming the patient.

Below are three sample virtual patient scenarios, using the OpenLabyrinth VP player:

• Tutorial 3

These cases begin with an introduction to the patient. As the students progress through the case they are provided with options from which they have to make a decision about what action to take. Depending on their choice students will be able to see the consequences of their actions. At certain points along the case resources are provide to give more information, such as an x-ray.
